New Campaign Launched to Support Drinks Sector Workers Facing Financial Hardships

The Drinks Trust is kicking off an ambitious new campaign, aiming to raise £1 million to support those facing financial hardship in the drinks retail sector.

Dubbed the Face It Together campaign, this initiative seeks to shed light on the ongoing challenges that professionals in the drinks hospitality industry have been grappling with amid a tough economic climate.

Addressing Financial Hardship

Forecasts from the charity predict that by 2025, around one in five workers in this sector could encounter financial difficulties.

With the launch of this campaign, The Drinks Trust is rallying support from within the industry, stressing the importance of its outreach services and raising awareness about the various struggles faced by those working in this field.

The organization offers a range of resources, including financial advice, debt counseling, and emotional support for individuals weathering tough times.

Fundraising Initiatives

To make an impact, The Drinks Trust invites those in the drinks trade to take part in various fundraising activities.

Suggested ideas include hosting Team Charity Days or undertaking personal challenges like running a 10K race to contribute to the cause.

Support and Contact Information

Nicky Burtson, CEO of The Drinks Trust, explained that this campaign addresses the pressing financial uncertainty many face today.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the persistent cost of living crisis, she noted that our colleagues’ financial safety is more fragile than ever.

Even a slight drop in income can lead to significant difficulties for individuals, increasing the risk of debt and poverty.

She stressed the need for immediate assistance for those in distress during such challenging times.
