Majestic Expands Low and No Alcohol Wine Range with Moderato Partnership

Majestic’s Commitment to Low and No Alcohol Wines

Majestic, the UK’s largest multi-chain wine retailer, is ramping up its commitment to low and no alcohol wines, a move that aligns with the rising number of consumers embracing sobriety.

The newest addition to its selection is the French brand Moderato, which boasts an alcohol by volume (ABV) of just 0.5%.

Strategic Alliance with Club Soda

Currently, you can find Moderato in 212 locations across the country, marking a strategic alliance with Club Soda, a well-respected producer in the low and no-alcohol beverage market, co-founded by Laura Willoughby MBE.

Innovative Winemaking Approach

A representative from Majestic noted that Moderato represents a blend of time-honored French winemaking traditions and innovative technology in crafting alcohol-free wines.

Designed to enhance food pairings, this brand has quickly become a standout among Club Soda’s offerings, underscoring its reputation in the market.

The brain behind Moderato, Fabien Marchand-Cassagne, joined forces with Sebastien Thomas and acclaimed oenologist Frédéric Brochet to push the boundaries of alcohol-free winemaking.

Marchand-Cassagne sees this partnership as a golden opportunity to introduce their wine collection to Majestic’s discerning customers, who prioritize quality and authenticity.

He eagerly looks forward to sharing the philosophy of artisanal winemaking with UK audiences and expanding the presence of Moderato through this collaboration.

Majestic plans to showcase two varieties from the Moderato range: the Moderato Cuvee Revolutionaire Colombard, which has an ABV of below 0.5%, and the Moderato Cuvee Revolutionaire Merlot Tannat, both reflecting the innovative spirit of the brand.
